FlightSimDIY was started with the goal of making home flight sim hardware more accessible and affordable to people who are willing to build the projects themselves. I have been interested in building my own cockpit for many years. But the cost of commercial hardware is just too much of a barrier. It seemed like the target market was always flight schools or aircraft owners with money to spare. Rather than give up, I decided to learn 3D modeling and just build the stuff myself. 

​Somewhere along the way I discovered that I actually enjoy designing projects as a pastime. That is why I want to use FSDIY as a platform to share my passion for design with everyone. In short, these are flight sim projects designed by an enthusiast, for enthusiasts.
